S – Luke 1:66 and 80
66″What will this child turn out to be? For the hand of the Lord was surely upon him in a special way.”
80John grew up and became strong in spirit. And he lived in the wilderness until he began his public ministry in Isreal.
O – These verses talk about the birth of John the Baptist and what his role will be as he grows up. That role was to preach to and prepare the Jews for the coming of Christ.
A – John’s role was different only from mine in that preaching Christ was his only life role. My life roles are mother, daughter, sister, friend, teacher and more. It’s through these roles that I can preach the love and salvation of Christ. God has given me these roles and He will bless me in them just as He did John as long as I’m obedient as John was in following God’s direction for my life.
P – God, thank you for reminding me that just as John was to proclaim Christ to others, so am I. You’ve just given me different roles than John to do it. Thank you for always being with me in every role you’ve called me to do.

S – Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
O – God’s plan for salvation is easy confess and believe and I am saved.
A – Many times we put too many rules on how to be saved and act, but God said to simply confess and believe and then we are saved. After this step it is up to each individual to read his word, pray and seek wisdom from mature Christians such as Pastors and Leaders in our church. By doing these things we can live a successful Christian life. Now that we know the plan it is time to spread it.
P – God, Thank you for the gift of salvation, that you made an easy plan for me to follow. Help me to share your plan with those around me that do not yet know you.
